Project Description

The Town of Wrightsville Beach’s FY2016 FMA Program elevated one slab-on grade residence on Water Street to ensure compliance with Local, State & Federal floodplain requirements after flooding multiple times from past storms. Once the home was elevated, the property owners made additional improvements increasing the value and aesthetics of this beach home, while saving considerable amounts of money on flood insurance due to the elevation.
