Project Description

Gates County is one of the “inland” CAMA counties.  The County is a predominantly rural county with the Chowan River located along its southern border.  The Comprehensive Plan focused on preservation of the County’s natural assets and its rural environment.  The plan, which was prepared in compliance with the February 1, 2016, 7B CAMA Land Use Plan Guidelines, was certified by the Coastal Resources Commission on February 8, 2017.
